Commencement of 2009/2010 season:
Training for seniors and juniors 14 plus commences on 4th August and each Tuesday 7-8pm at Melb Cricket Centre 13 Duerdin St Clayton. Seniors $10, juniors (14+) $5

Fri 9th October twilight (u/14, u/16)

•Juniors enrolments from 1st August past members

•Launch of Junior season with sausage sizzle at club rooms

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CLUB
1937/38
* Beaumaris Cricket Club was established in 1937 by Jack and Alan (Ben) Cameron of Keefer Brothers (then operating at Martin Street, Beaumaris)
* In order to raise initial finances for the club, racing tickets were succesfully sold to local houselholds
* The first recorded match of the BCC was played against St. Matthews at Mcdonald Reserve in the Frankston Glenhuntly Cricket Association, Beaumaris won.
* The inaugural BCC committee consisted of the Councillors Brown (Pres) and Innes (V.Pres) of the local Sandringham Municipal Offices, E Arise (Treas) T Keefer (Sec) and Mrs C Keefer (Scorer)
* The club colours originate from its sister club, the Beaumaris Cricket Club, in Wales (U.K)
1950/51
* Beaumaris wins its first ever premiership in the FGCA
1951/52
* Two sides represented the club for the first time
1961/62
* The club moved to the turf based Federal District Cricket Association and begins its junior cricketing program
1976/77
* BCC fielded a record 14 teams, 9 of these reached the finals
1988/89
* BCC senior teams moved to the Victorian Turf Cricket Association
2000/01
* BCC mergers with the Beaumaris United Cricket Club
2001/02
* BCC defeated Old Paradians to win the Senior Division VTCA premiership
2005/06
* BCC named Cricket Victoria’s club of the year
* BCC has a record number of Juniors in participation. 170 juniors filling 14 teams
2008/2009
Another very successful year with excellent wins – 2 premierships – to finish the season. Beaumaris Cricket Club fielded 4 senior teams and continued the tradition of fielding more than 13 junior teams in the CMCA competition. The “Into Cricket” for the very young future stars also continued.
2009/2010
Fielding 5 Senior teams and 11 Junior teams this season plus the popular Milo Cricket continues. Get involved…contact the club for more details
